eloise maelle

She's here!  (Well, she's been here for almost two weeks now.  I'm just bad at getting pictures loaded onto my computer.  That's what photographers are for, right?)  Born March 10, 8:36am, 7lb 4oz, 21inches.

Wanna see her?

Pretty cute, don't you think?

Olivia is in love.  She thinks we had this baby just for her.  Such a little mommy.  Cora... depends on the day.  She's adjusting.  She does like to hold Eloise, but she lets us know as soon as she's "all done with da baby."

We're pretty smitten.  Such a beautiful blessing - we couldn't be more excited!!!

the zoo (yes - it's January!!!)

One of our "local" zoos held a winter day over the weekend, and the weather was perfect for it (at least for January here in the midwest)!  I heard the temperature reached almost 60 degrees - wow!  And we took full advantage of having a new place to explore, outside in the fresh air, in the middle of winter!

She told us she didn't have any fun.  I don't know.  What do you think?

And Olivia's favorite part of the day... snacking on Cracker Jacks.  Seriously.

christmas 2012

Wow!  Christmas seems like such a long time ago, so I guess it's about time for an update!  Our holidays were jam-packed with family time and the flu, or something like it, maybe?  And I didn't get many photos, either, but here is what we have:

Family time:  the girls met their new baby cousin for the first time and absolutely adored her.  (They're the cutest, little mommies, I think!)
DSC05005

Spoiled:  Yeah, they certainly got loved on this year!  We even had packages coming in the mail...  Such divas - these "blingy" (Is that a word?) headbands were right up their alley!

Christmas morning:  We had no Christmas tree this year.  There simply was NO room for one in our little cottage.  So we piled the girls and their packages on the couch, where they opened their gifts, and then we had a "special" Christmas breakfast:  Paula Dean coffee cake and fresh cut fruit.  Thank you, Wal-Mart.  It was all this sick momma could come up with.  Fortunately, they had plenty to entertain them as I spent most of rest of the day on the couch.  Ugh.

Lipstick:  This little girl is obsessed with it.  (It's actually make-your-own-glitter-lip-gloss.  Crafting, glitter and gloss - does life get any better than this?)

Best Christmas Ever!  Princess shoes.  I don't know why we even bothered buying anything else.  It's all about the shoes for this 3-year-old.

And the girls in their Christmas dresses:  I thought it would be a great idea to get a special picture of them dressed up out in the snow.  Two little someones did not agree.

Oh well, we tried.

we survived...

the first move!  (another to come, but we're really looking forward to that one)!  In the meantime, I've found my cables and my battery charger for the camera (it was out of juice), and then found this cutie picture of Olivia, which I just had to post.

Yeah, she has her "moments," but mostly we find her with a big ol' smile plastered across her face.  I love that about her.

Lesson learned, sunflare does not show over water.  (at least I can't get it to)  And since that was kinda' the point of today's practice round, you may see more of these kinds of shots soon, that is if my girls will still tolerate the camera in front of them.

I bet your little one will love it, too!  It's the perfect holiday dress, if I do say so myself.  Whimsical, yet not so traditional.  (Read:  wear all season long!)  But special-occasion, for sure!  I took pictures of it sleeveless, but it's pretty adorable layered over a long-sleeve tee or under a sweet, little cardigan, for those of us living up north!

And no, while I'm not currently accepting orders in the Sweet & Sour shop (due to our family moving and a baby on the way!) this dress is going up for auction, soon!  To benefit a very good cause!  Details to follow in the next week or two!

And just in case you thought my lil' model never smiled...
